I've rewatched our gams v/s Mouth Carolina several times because my 15 loves to watch it. Out of curiosity I'm watching the Wake game. There's no doubt the Deamon Deacs have a better program. I predict a 4 or 5 win season for Scar. If they somehow squeeze out 6 wins playing in the SEC Least I'd like to see Wake take their ### to the woodshed in a bowl game.

Yeah spell check kept trying to correct Mouth Carolina but not demon/deamon. I never proofread when posting from my phone so deamon deacons it is lol.

Wake has more championships than Cootieville.

Plus a better bowl record.
Wake, 2 conference championships (ACC 1970 & 2006)
Coots 1 championship (ACC 1969)

Bowl records.
Wake 7-4 64%
Coots 8-13 38% (more bowl appearances but more losses.)

Had no clue WF was that successful in bowl games.

ACC was obviously down in '69 & '70 for coots and Wake to win conference.

Different era - Different playing rules

WF had some very good players back then = Brian Piccolo comes to mind through the movie "Brian's Song".
Head slaps were legal back then. Scholarship limits were 100+.
The "Wishbone" was a successful and popular formation back then.
Regular linemen were often under 200 lbs. Huge linemen weighed 220-240.

Teams like WF, that have been playing football a very long time, will often have a "glory period" when they were not only competitive, but also won a title or 3.
