preparing for the bowl?
and talking about LSU and their "physical" style of play??
good gosh.
why wouldnt they have practiced like they now "alledge" all freaking year?!?!?!?!?!?!?

block team such as wake, gt you cut block. if it's a power I, jumbo team, you face that in practice. if it's spread you out, throw it around team.... you practice against that style.
i don't know why that is tough to understand.

Agree with the OP. Toughness and being physical has nothing to do with the style of team you will be facing that Saturday. Being physical starts at the roots with our S&C program and is then carried onto the practice field. I think Dabo has done a lot of good things, but we are obviously not there yet in the physical category

didn't play on the big stage, I did play. We had a physical team and we only hit on Tuesdays. The rest of the days were the plays we would actually run and timing. Defense worked with the scout team seeing plays run and making adjustments. Thursday was more special teams and special situations. No one practices hard nose all the time--not even Bama. It is too costly hurting starters in practice. I know some teams who do not tackle at all after the season begins!

to how they've always prepared. You can't just change how you coach/practice/play overnight.
It takes years to create an attitude of "toughness" or whatever you want to call it. Hopefully, we'll play well and we handle adversity better than we did in the previous bowl game.

we are pretty thin (see secondary), if we were to go all out every practice, you would have to subtract a few more players, at the very least. 1's on 1's is a necessary evil, we just have to limit the times we incorporate it into our practice schedule. the 85 schollie limit has created this scenario, when you don't have 4-5 star players all the way down to # 85 on the depth chart!
