Did some analyst just say Heels have the better offense??

Dec 5, 2015, 11:20 AM

I don't watch ESPN except to see games. Twitter folks seem to be angry that one of the pinheads at ESPN was doing analysis and said UNC has the better offense. It was said casually maybe. But still. That's just insane. Better? Can you go 2 and 3 deep and compare our teams? I guess if they have a few more yards having played FCS teams and other Coastal teams that counts as "better."

Hmmm, objectionable data suggests a different story.

Well, Heels are definitely efficient

with the best yards per play. But given the defenses they have faced, that shouldn't be too surprising. According to friends, some of the ESPN "experts" are even saying Williams is as good as or better than Watson. Not sure if they mean overall. Maybe they mean as a dual threat because he's harder to tackle being more like Boyd in size/weight. Still silly to say it though.

Who needs numbers?

When you just trying to fill air time I guess you simply need an opinion. I remember how the "experts" were all in favor of Williams last year and his numbers were crap. At least this year he's proving many right. He can play ball well. Just not as well as Watson.
