He is deciding if he need to play college ball a year or go over seas and play basketball. He still thinks he can make it to the NBA.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

College ball -- you mean football? Does he have any

May 4, 2015, 9:27 AM

eligibility left for football? Not sure how that works when multiple sports are involved.

May 4, 2015, 9:47 AM [ in reply to If he played basketball for four years then could he ]

No that is not right. From the moment you step on campus your clock starts. You have 5 years before you eligibility runs out. You can only play 4 years in any sport(Hence the redshirt ). Rod hall has played 4 years of basketball but 0 of football, so he has a year left.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

OK thanks for the clarification.***

Talked to his Aunt this AM (she & I work at the same hospital) as we were walking in. She said that he has not yet made up his mind as to which direction he wants to take. He has promised the family he will make a decision by graduation time this weekend.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Awesome, thanks for the update.

May 4, 2015, 10:24 AM

He definitely has a big decision, but not bad either way
