What gun do you carry?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Carrygun.com

Jan 6, 2020, 2:01 PM

I bought a glock 23 to carry, but I never carry it. too much of a hassle.

If I had to get a carry gun, I think a Ruger LCP9 would be the best way to go... but I haven't bought one yet.

S??? ????? ?? ?? ???????? ???? ? ??????? ??? ????? ?????..

My gun ain't very long, but

Jan 6, 2020, 2:04 PM

it is skinny.

Or so I'm told.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

When I do, it is a Sig P238

Jan 6, 2020, 2:04 PM

I have the 9mm P938 but I am more accurate with the 380.

I don't carry often though.

I like this holster

surprise surprise @ the liberal cuck who doesn't carry.

2024 purple level memberringofhonor-greenr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

nor does APM, but he loves poppin' off rounds at the range

Jan 6, 2020, 9:32 PM

once in a while. And APM is a pretty good shot.

But APM ain't about packin' heat. Other than his d*ck.

And if he did carry, he'd be just like celtic and 007 - Walther PPK all the way.

Kimber Compact

Stainless. It's a pre-Series II gun as well. You know, before Kimber went to ####.

since I live in a relatively safe area

Jan 6, 2020, 2:24 PM

my daily carry is my trusty little .22 magnum(WMR) Black Widow. Because I have more encounters with snakes and small critters than meth heads out in the country.

Not much bigger/heavier than a pocket knife. 9 ounces. Fits in the palm of my hand. I even have the cool little red laser to help aim something so small. It's just too frickin awesome not to have in my pocket most waking hours.
Don't scoff at a .22 Mag, it'll poke a nice hole in something.

"Some of the most concealable and easy-to-carry pistols come from North American Arms (NAA). Started in the early 1970s, NAA makes a series of .22 WMR mini revolvers that have applications as deep-cover concealment pieces and backup guns. They can even serve as primary self-defense tools if need be. In recent years, cartridge manufacturers have really stepped up to the plate by providing .22 WMR cartridges with modern bullet designs. They’re formulated for use in short-barrel handguns and have given this round greater effectiveness, making it more viable for lethal-force situations."

You can put different grips on it to make it even smaller:

I have bigger ones for other situations, but this one is my little baby.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Same here, scooter.

Jan 6, 2020, 2:35 PM

I have the Black Widow on my more than any other I own, and unless you;re trying to stop an NFL offensive lineman high on Angel Dust, a .22 Mag hollowpoint will do the job. I flip the cylinder over to the .22LR with rat shot when I walk the pup in the woods.

Depends on where I'm carrying.

Jan 6, 2020, 2:30 PM

I have several to choose from, depending on the job, because the right tool for the right job. If you're limited to one, the opinions of others aren't going to mean a hill of beans because you're talking about something that fits your size, what you wear, what feels comfortable in your hand, and what you're most accurate with. Go to a reputable range that has numerous rentals and try different brands, sizes, and calibers...and don't rush the decision. Go several times if need be. If you're going to carry, make sure it works for you the way you intend it to. You can get a good sense of reliability from reading online, but you can't get the important factors outlined above by reading or getting opinions from others. And definitely stay practiced with whatever you buy. Don't set it in the drawer beside the bed or in the vehicle glovebox and expect it to save your life after shooting it the day you bought it and never again. The one thing I will say is that if you aren't going to practice regularly and keep it maintained but are still determined to have one, GET A REVOLVER.

Not my first rodeo

Jan 6, 2020, 2:44 PM

I have a .45 in the closet where I sleep (yes, I sleep in the closet). I keep my S&W 9 on my fridge. It's the gun I most enjoy shooting. And my son likes to shoot it. I have a cheap SCCY I bought to carry. But I mostly leave it in my SUV.

My wife messaged me an article about the Springfield Hellcat. My response was "yes please." To which she responded "birthday."

So I started looking.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I was just thinking about the Hellcat as I read through the

Jan 6, 2020, 2:48 PM

thread. From all indications, it sounds like a nice compact and reliable weapon. I'd like to try one out sometime.
