Our D was a question mark going into that first game. They made Guz look like he was coaching a high school team at times. Hats off to our coaching staff for maintaining the level of excellence not to notice too much of a drop off after what we lost.

I am happy with the defensive performance, but the Offensive performance was not too stellar, IMO. Credit AU's defense, maybe, but IMO we looked better last year against everybody we played than we did on Saturday night. Hopefully we get things rolling better soon.

You take away the last two defensive stands, in kinda prevent defense by not rushing people, they kicked butt all night long. It is going to be a fun year watching that group get after it. They are fast and good. Not many missed tackles and some great plays by both teams.

Defense was stout, but when our offense stalled out in the second half, we started to see some depth issues, I think.

When Austin Bryant gets back, we should be okay. Very impressed with our front, they were sensational
