Yeah, you. The one continually going on about how Clemson hasn't shown themselves to be a CFP caliber team yet this year,
and how Deshaun Watson isn't the same Heisman QB we saw and loved in the Natty.
Well, a friend sent me the pre-season ESPiN College Football Mag today. Guess he was tired of reading it.
Says right there on the front that the Mag is good to "Display until October 5, 2016".
Au contraire bub, the shelf life of this piece of trash couldn't have been 3 weeks into the season, maybe not even 2.
What I'm talking about is your preseason Top 10. You see, I'm looking at that and
all I see now is 2-loss teams, quality losses no doubt, but at least 2-losses still.
In fact there's not a 1-loss team in your Top Ten list. To wit:
#'s 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 and 10 (LSWho, Free Shoes U, Bakerhoma U, UTenn, THE USC, and Okie State)
ALL have 2 losses ALREADY, and are barely above .500.
#'s 7 and 9 (Ole Mrs. and UGhhhhA) actually have 3 losses.
Yep, that's right, if it weren't for #6 Bama and #4, your favorite Clemson,
you'd be a complete and total wash-out on your preseason picks already.
So next time you're feeling especially pompous, try to remember that these days the Paw is actually
making you look at least somewhat smarter than you obviously are.
