I actually don't love the NY-style anymore. Give me the Chicago-style thin crust, or deep dish every 2-3 months or so, or Napolitano-style, or Detroit-style. NY-style is boring, although I'm never going to really complain about it.
If you're even in Chicago, make sure to go to Piece Pizza. They serve a great New-Haven style pizza.

That Frank Pepe pizza in New Haven was on Thr Pizza Show on the Vice channel. It's as legendary as it gets. I would love to go there. New Haven is known for having great pizza places.
