You can make a 3.5 down there without having ever made an A as long as you make B+'s . There is no such thing, however, as a B-, C-, etc.

Must be next to impossible to not stay eligible down there.

Are you saying they are 7th in the SEC now in admission standards, I know the SEC is horrible in general but the only school I could think of worse than South Carolina-Columbia might be Miss State.
