Mainly how much my dad hated Joe Pinner. Apparently he ignored me when I was a young lad and tried to say hello, and my dad hated him with the fire of a thousand suns from that day forward.

That whole crew was a staple in the household growing up.

Big USC homer. Once he was at the Barnyard Burn at Clemson and was doing a live shot. Some guy jumped in front of the camera and he yelled "HOW DARE YOU ruin my shot!!!"

Everyone laughed their rears off.

Joe Pinner was a snob though. Always into the arts, high society, blah blah.

Always liked Ed Carter and Susan Aude Fisher.

I met Joe Pinner as a kid and he was really nice to me, so my mom loved the guy. I also used to get cornered at lawyer parties by Tom Turnipseed who would talk my ear off about liberal politics. Fast forward 40 and 25 years respectively and my wife's mom moves into assisted living while she's fighting cancer and her immediate besties are the Pinners and Turnipseeds. Joe did her eulogy. Joe's still around but Tom passed on a few weeks ago.

Joe Pinter sang in the choir of my wife's grandparents church. We went there a few times.

I've heard similar stories about him being a bit uppity.


The real babe is old-school Dawn Mercer, aka Dawndy Mercer Plank. Back in the mid 90's she was a fox.

Was at my parents house last trip home and saw her on TV, and thought #### she got old.
