I understand their position - using their airtime for a personal cause, no matter how good that cause, could be a big issue. If they told him not to do it and he did it anyway, he was asking to be fired, imo.

guess you missed the part where he didn't say he couldn't do it. Just shows how pathetic they are not to want someone to do this. Maybe Chris is a child molestor

Tough situation for both parties, but they have to have final say on what goes on the air, imo.
BTW, I have contributed to Dan's Foundation. I support him in this effort. I just understand that WCCP had the right to not have it broadcast on the air.

first time, several posters(myself included)pointed out the many faults of his boring, Cincinatti baseballcentric show...Nary a complaint about his revelation...If ANYTHING, his revelation garnered him respect. I know that what little respect I have for Dan came from that episode, and I sure the same goes for others...That being said, his show was boring and that is the ONLY reason it has failed on two different stations...That and Cobb Oxford eating biscuits...

I respect Dan Scott for coming forward on what I can imagine was such a tragic event in his childhood. That being said, he was absolutely dreadful to listen to and i'm glad Philpott has a chance to do a show now because he is 1000% better.

He was really dull to me and I didn't enjoy listening to him. I never heard any mention of anything other than him being boring as to why he was fired.
He might be a nice guy and I hope his foundation goes well, but as for radio he just isn't interesting.
