Just checked in to the Fairmont. Beautiful! Execellent customer service. This has the makings of a great trip.
Did anyone else ever stop at one of these?

As far as any BBQ in Texas, it's good but it's probably beef not pork. I never saw one pig in Texas. That goes to the old days in Texas . Pigs eat the roots of the grass and cattle only eat the grass not the roots. Among other things, Texas is big cattle country. .

Go to the Pecan Lodge tomorrow at 11am for BBQ brisket. Usually a long line so get there early.
