Read that as there will be a time that he moves on to another team. Heck if he stays he 20 something odd years and retires here, that’s different.
In the context of how Mickey built everything Dabo has done up. The post is to say that Dabo has a plan and that we will be ok, when Venables or whoever moves on

Personally, I think this was a well written article. How do you know he didn't mean retirement as a way he's "moving on"? He didn't specify moving on to another job.
