So Auburn was up 56-7 at the half on Purdue. Stidham the starting QB has announced he is leaving for the NFL afte4 the season and the backup QBs have had very gametime thus far this season. What does Gus do with the QBs in the 2nd half?
1) Pull the starter. The other guys need the reps.
2) Leave the starter in for the 3rd quarter then play the reserves.
3) Leave the starter in. Let the backup get “mental reps”.

Ole Gus left Stidham in until 1:33 left in the game.


Now Dabo likely wouldn’t have pushed the score to 56-7 at the half but there is no chance the starters would still be playing late in the 4th quarter.
