I would argue keeping your second best player at the most important position happy enough so he doesn't transfer is best for the team.

All it would have taken is to continue the current playing time situation. Dabo wanted to keep playing both QBs, and he could have kept Bryant by just rolling him out first.

He could have still been honest with Bryant about playing time without stripping the meaningless title of starter from him. Then if Bryant wanted to still transfer, we could at least know it wasn't over something as inconsequential as who runs out there first.

DO you really think if Dabo had said he is the deal KB, we are gonna keep you running out the 1st series and then put in TL till the score is out of hand AND then put you back in for mop up duty he would have stayed?

he cannot redshirt.

Dabo could have easily just kept status quo and handcuffed KB. He didn't do that.

I disagree, I think a resentful KB on the team would have begun to cause divisions among the players because that's natural. A divided team cannot win the championship, we need to be all in

Good grief man, the rotating qbs was never going to be a season long thing. It was only used to find the best qb. Do you not watch the games? Have you not seen how the rotating qbs have hampered the offense?

KB had his shot to keep his starting job and didn’t perform nearly as well as TL. It is what it is.

Bryant could not redshirt, thus be able to transfer

If he took another snap this year. How hard is this? Dabo left him the option. Probably very surprised he took it. Had he not he may have started again at some point.

this season we have a weak schedule because of the overall weakness of the ACC and the lack of "big time" regular season matchups. The national sports media has made it clear that we'll not only have to go undefeated but we'll need to win each game big. We've got to show we're deserving of a Final 4 slot. Otherwise, we could get left out entirely.

He's having to do what needs to be done and TL is our best bet at QB. He wasn't going to have KB start the first series in each game and then play TL from then on - that's disrespecting KB as he'd see through that.

He made the decision he feels is best overall for the team.

and that he was still going to play.

So it's clear as day Dabo was going to play him more than one series a game.

If Dabo felt he was so important, let him run out there first.
