But I think Herman and Harbaugh are also performing below their pay grade.

I would guess Manny Diaz' salary would exceed that number, too. Miami was not obligated to respond.
I wonder if Diaz gets any kind of bonus based on increasing or decreasing his players' bling.

Looks like we have paid Dabo about $14M in the last two years. That looks like a lot until you total up the head coaches on Dabo's list of 22 straight wins. I think the losers have paid their head guys a cumulative total of well over $100M to beat Clemson and they've failed to do so. So Clemson is getting a bargain with Coach Swinney.
