Special Teams

I sure hope this part of our game is cleaned up Saturday night at South Bend. Fortunate that the punt return BC had was called back. With us "thin" in certain defensive areas, we just can't afford to give away points on special teams....could be the difference in the game. I know it's obvious...just my 2 cents. Go Tigers!!

True. Although it wasnt a special team play the “scoop and score” could have been a killer against a better team. Turnovers just can’t happen Saturday. I bet the coaches work with DJ this week on his handoffs. The fumble by ETN was caused by poor execution on his part. There will be some real good film to study from DJ s first start to help him continue to improve.

I just don't want the team to be dependent upon the refs to make a call!! Too many mistakes in special teams thru the first seven games...just hope to see the special teams unit have their A game Saturday night.

Granted the punt return never should have been broken that wide open. However, downfield the same defender did hold him twice, and he was in a position to make the tackle.
