D-Rad doesn't care about basketball.

If he did care, he would have enlarged the arena , not made it smaller.

He sent a clear message, we are lousy, we will stay lousy and there is nothing I can do about it.

We are not getting so much better that we will need more seats.

So, shrink the arena, try to sell premium seating to the fat cats, to heck with the rest.

We "need" to have a water/sewer event at LJ the last weekend of the regular season, and move the last two homegames to Fike Fieldhouse. Sell tix for five bucks, and see what happens....

I remember Steve Vacendak standing right in front of me early 1968 and us rats "Ron Cherryng" him.

And based on average attendance in Littlejohn over the past few decades, he's right.

I disagree that he doesn't care about basketball. He wouldn't have overseen the facility upgrades if he didn't think it would be money well spent. He is committed to basketball.

So do we not care about football either?
We now have LESS seats because we made Death Valley nicer not bigger. Sometimes less is more. Littlejohn was remodeled to make it nicer not bigger.
