what I love about Liberals the most....

Jun 14, 2016, 2:04 PM

is their ability to talk out both sides of their mouth without apparently realizing it.

A question if you don't mind:

we're being constantly told that current gun laws

that include heavily restricted access to certain types of guns,

heavy taxation on gun sales to fund bureaucracy and law enforcement,

government checks on personal background and intended method of personal gun use,

restrictions on how and where guns can be transported,

licensed dealers and other government-monitoring of distribution channels,

and even a separate Agency of the Federal government (ATF) primarily given to managing guns

is NOT working.

yet isn't that exactly the self-same bureaucratic model THE LIBERALS are

planning and implementing within this very nation right now

for "legal" sales of marijuana and possibly other currently controlled hallucinogens

such as heroin, LSD, speed, etc.?

isn't that exactly the same government-control model they have argued for years WOULD WORK

in allowing private citizens to "responsibly" use hallucinogenic drugs on a personal basis?

screw you liberals.... you're just incapable of understanding the importance of "personal responsibility"

in any context, whether it be on an internet board, in a Constitutional Law class, or just while kicking back with a blunt.

police? let me tell you where we are...

Jun 14, 2016, 5:16 PM

I have a friend who's been in law enforcement for 25 years.

I woke up one morning about 10 years ago to find that my car had been stolen out of my driveway.

So I called my friend just to get his thoughts on the insurance and what not.

In the conversation he makes the statement,

"Well, you know we can tell you who the gang is that steals cars in this area."

Basically I responded, "Wtph???? and why aren't you doing something about it?"

His response was exactly, "Let me ask you:

do you want them coming into your driveway to take something of yours,

or do you want them coming into your home?"

Now, make sure: that's on society and a lack of personal responsibility in this culture,

not on our police....

If one secret unidentified sober marksman would have had a gun in that gun free zone that one idiot didn't care about it being gun free zone,(better for him) probably 47 of those killed could have been saved. And I'm sure that all bar owners could arrange that sort of public protection in his bar. What are they going to do, lock up the person that stopped the Idiot who would have killed 50 and wounded 50 more. Because now they know how destructive just one idiot can be!!! I'll help donate to his legal fees!!!

That's not true either, I have a friend that has the Class 3 licence that you need to own and possess a fully automatic weapon. I have personally fired two of them on with selector switch on full, AKA (rock and roll) They are sold to people in the US, but you have to have a the special licence.

A couple of facts...

About 4% of all gun crimes are committed with legally purchased guns.

Guns are used 4 times more often in self defense than in crime and 98% of the time a gun is never fired.

over 99.9% of guns are never used in a violent crime of any sort.

Giving blunts away would be much cheaper than all the litigation of gun control bc, once the blunt has been used, there is absolutely no desire to shoot anybody, not even if someone was screwing with you, bc laughing their A$S off has never killed anyone.

"possible 'legal' sales....of heroin, LSD speed..."

Jun 14, 2016, 3:44 PM

first I've heard of that.... Actually, LSD was "legal" until the mid-late 60's....it took special legislation by each state and the Feds to make it illegal. Mankind has been using so-called hallucinogens for thousands of years.....and incidentally, I'm relatively certain heroin and speed are not classified as hallucinogens since they contain no psychotropic qualities.

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

wow... talk about obfuscating...

Jun 14, 2016, 5:02 PM

ok, so technically

speed is a stimulant,

heroin is a depressant, and

LSD is a hallucinogen.

marijuana can be both depressant and hallucinogen.

happy?

now back to the argument -

liberals obfuscate and lie by talking out both sides of their mouth....

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Is it all of them talking out of both sides of their mouths

Jun 14, 2016, 3:56 PM

Or multiple people talking out of different sides of their mouths individually?

I do it too, I hear two or more people with similar views with contradicting points, and blend them together as though they are hypocrits. My error.

I personally just want background checks to be done thoroughly and people on the FBI lists to stay there. Guns are tools to make some people feel safe, and I may be a near liberal, but I don't want others to be restricted, as long as it does not endanger me.

And Cannibis (Marijuana is the name William Randolph Hearst used to demonize this very useful herb) is medication, just as much as it is satisfying. But it helps people like me who are sick.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

if they support each other's contradictory views

Jun 14, 2016, 5:08 PM

within a group dynamic

then they are in fact equivocating and/or simply attempting to lie.

but this isn't an "error" of mine...

I am simply pointing out those on here - though

I've been kind enough to not do it by name -

whose posts show support for drug use and a desire for more gun control.

I simply pointed out that those people intended to be inconsistent -

a trait I find incredibly common among liberal-viewed people.

though since liberalism is defined by its failure to adhere to consistent principles,

then one would in fact expect these people to be inconsistent, now wouldn't we?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Both sides and all in between display contradictory views

Jun 14, 2016, 5:42 PM

Conservatives supposedly pine for less government, yet want laws restricting certain liberties, e.g. equal rights to marry, what a woman does with her own body (I mean abortion), and so on. If they had more open minds about equality and none of your d?!. business type stuff, the Republican party might have a better following.

Hypocrits abound everywhere!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You realize that some non-liberals are advocating for gun

Jun 14, 2016, 5:26 PM

control laws being tighter. Like this gun-toting conservative. There comes a point in time where common sense takes precedent over pitiful party line allegiance.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I pick no parties, just causes.

Jun 14, 2016, 5:49 PM

and you missed the point...

I specifically called out the dichotomy of thinking

that plagues more than a few of the liberal-minded.

I am assuming that you aren't for liberalization of the drug laws?
