County secession from states

First heard about this over the summer when rural VA wanted to secede from northern VA / DC metro over gun right infringements proposed by Gov & Legislature

Now rural Oregon wants to secede to Idaho because of left wing crazytown in the cities

A growing trend to watch for

Actually, Horry County succeeded from SC either just before or during the Civil War. The county seal to this day still says "Horry County - The Independent Republic".

And it's still comical to hear the Midwest beach throng pronounce the H in Horry.

Recently the city of Hemingway unsuccessfully attempted to secede from Williamsburg County to become part of Florence County. That was not a good look for Kingstree's attempt to improve its perceived standing.
