So, I've found one HUGE problem with the house I'm buying.

Mar 5, 2019, 8:18 AM

I noticed Sunday there is a #### bradford pear tree in the yard. Who all wants to come out for the killing party?

Actually, is there a pub within walking, $5 Uber or bike ride distance?

If not, you have an even larger problem.

I actaully do not know where there nearest bar is.

Mar 5, 2019, 8:23 AM

I am sad about moving away from Community Tap though.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Who needs a bar?

Mar 5, 2019, 11:06 AM

When you actaully have a bottle in your drawer. Hiccup.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I can turn my shed into a bar with power tools.

Mar 5, 2019, 11:10 AM

What could go wrong?

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Just walk up to it and blow on it really hard.

Mar 5, 2019, 8:21 AM

Should fall right over.

MauldinT, where are you???

I could use to get rid of some aggression. :)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't have one at this time, but we'll find one some where

Mar 5, 2019, 8:43 AM

.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You don't really NEED a chainsaw for a Bradford pear.

Mar 5, 2019, 8:47 AM

A few well-placed amateur karate chops will take most of it down. Then make some whooshing wind noises with your mouth and that should handle the remainder.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpgbadge-ringofhonor-19b.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So, if these things are so #### frail, how did they

Mar 5, 2019, 8:49 AM

manage to take over?

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Probably because they breed faster than rabbits.

Mar 5, 2019, 8:51 AM

Let me ask you this: was there a Bradford pear in the yard when you looked at this house the first time?

CASE CLOSED.

Re: So, if these things are so #### frail, how did they

Mar 5, 2019, 9:00 AM [ in reply to So, if these things are so #### frail, how did they ]

They breed fast, and they sell houses in cookie cutter neighborhoods to middle class, early 30's white women who idolize Joanna Gaines and never miss an event at Newspring.

I like them because they make great firewood for camping trips. Bradford Pear makes a coal bed that burns longer than anything else I've used on my trips where I can haul firewood.

is it like lighting a Tiggity scented Yankee Candle?

MauldinT, where are you???

It could be worse

Mar 5, 2019, 8:52 AM

The person who bought my house didn't notice the two 50' gum trees in the front and the magnolia and live oak in the back.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What is wrong with those?

Mar 5, 2019, 9:01 AM

We do have a big ole oak, which may cause some issues later as half the branches are in the neighbors yard, but I've no problem with it.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Oaks drop leaves year round

Mar 5, 2019, 9:06 AM

but its really bad in the spring AND fall. I have about an inch of leaves covering the ground around the entire canopy right now and I just raked 2 weeks ago.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Couldn't be worse than magnolias

Mar 5, 2019, 10:12 AM

I have two large trees in my front yard and they #### cones and huge leaves in the yard seemingly year round

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

what's the problem with them?***
