After all, September is way too hot ... that A&M Game was a public health hazard in its own right.
Start around the First of October ... regular season ends end of December ... post season goes on to early February. Yes, a collision of Sports ... so what.

Heck, they need to add two extra weeks of pre season practice to make up for everything the athletes missed in the Spring and Summer.

If I recall, our season didn't start until the latter

part of September during my time at Clemson in the 60's.
Of course, there were fewer games with most home games starting about 1 p.m. That allowed for two things: people to return home the same day, and our Saturday night CDA dances in the cafeteria to occur. We were lucky to have 30,000 - 35,000 at home games, tailgating was not a big deal nor was the hill: kids slid down it on cardboard during games, sometimes prompting gales of laughter from the stands...kind of like a show within a show!

We already know playoff is O310, top one or two sec teams, Clemson if we are undefeated, and OU trying to take away an sec spot. Sorry Pac 12 already.
Maybe this virus can eliminate bs surrounding above truth, e.g. Michigan starting out 8-0 or Texas is back.

That does not help the real concern ... that the Fall will bring a second round of Covid-19.

Move the games to the Amazon basin where it is hot and humid all the time. That would be way better than moving it further into the cold, dry season.
