Could Deshaun's Shoulder Bruise Been Avoided? ----

Is the grass on Death Valley's field thick enough.....soft enough. Do they still keep the sprinkler system heads deep in the ground on the field? Because maybe Watson landed on on one of them and really didn't realize it.
Could be over thinking it but it didn't even look like he landed hard on his shouder to bruise it as much.
Hope it won't effect his throwing.

Elbow landed right on the plastic disc looking thing that covers the sprinkler head. Hurt like I-lell for 2 days.
The Bubble people in the other post would prevent a lot of targeting calls.

on top of Watson while he went down on his shoulder.
I kinda think it was fortunate that it went down that way 'cause he went straight down forward, his head could have hit the ground and it could have been a concussion.

My two cents? Put a pair of shoulder pads on the young man that actually cover his shoulders! Look at the difference between the ones Nick wears versus the ones Deshaun wears. I know we all love to show off the guns and the bulkier ones won't work with a throwing arm but his entire deltoid on both arms is completely exposed.
