but not themselves. Limit the President and you prevent a monarchy. Allow people to serve lifetimes in Congress and you create an oligarchy (not much better really).

Article V must be evoked on this. It's the only way you will ever get term limits in Congress.

It's a common thing, I think for people to spout off "history" that sounds right, but isn't right, when they are eager to make a point. We certainly see it all the time on the internet.

It's more interesting when a member of Congress does it. We'd probably be shocked at the history knowledge, or lack thereof, of much of our Congress. It's not like they have to take a test.

the theory that she has a better handle on the educational level of those who support her and those who ignore her ignorance because she speaks out against Trump. Either it's both of those or she's a devious, evil liar taking advantage of those two groups of supporters.

I also believe some of the dems in congress fall into the second category and the others who don't point out she's either a dingbat or an evil, lying and devious woman have dem supporters who are either ignorant of history or just hate Trump.

Thanks POTUS Trump, you've single handedly exposed the voters' educational level in AOC's district or you've caused dems to suck up to anyone who hates you. They've believed a lie for the better part of three years and dug a hole for themselves but instead of climbing out of they hole they keep digging.

They did attempt to do it before the 1944 election. It was introduced in 1944, but didn't pass until 1947 and was ratified in 1951. So she's wrong, but not too far off.

Not that that matters to idiots who can't think deeper than a puddle.
