Coots going nuts over this stmt by their A.D.

USC AD Ray Tanner on football ops building: "There will be some bells, whistles, maybe not to the extent you have heard at other places"

Questioning RT's ability to lead their programs and also the school's commitment to football...they're losing their little minds...funny stuff

Of course not...

Clemson spent nearly $60 million on its football operations facility.

$CU is trying to build a cheap imitation, in a weak and desperate attempt to keep pace with Clemson, for a paltry $30 million.

That usc is in real financial debt.. especially the athletic depth. Hard to keep up with the lead Dog while sipping on Busch Lites..

The poster is correct. Usuck has debt issues in a number of cases, but they are slowly raising funds to build a new football facility. May take them several more years to complete and we have already recognized our shortcomings and done what was needed to address them.

Tanner knows where his school is in comparison to virtually every ACC or SEC foe. Usuck falls short in many facets, but not all. The Trustees cannot keep spending like they did previously because of academic department issues among others.

Any Chance Spurrier would give back some of those millions he got with the Under-Armor Money for the new Facilities???

Wait until they find out he just released the crayon drawings to shut them up from the 56-7 butthurt
I bet he stalls on ground breaking for at least a year . Who would waste any more money on a six win team . The donors know how bad Muscant is , but it takes the fans longer to see the bottom .
Muscant just found out what everybody not wearing garnet knows , Its almost impossible to recruit
to chicken city except once every 20 years the state produces a great class and chickens can
sign the ones that have iffy grades and wont risk going somewhere else .

Exactly - it wasn't so long ago that we were hearing from them that we couldn't compete with all that SEC money that they get.

Yeah, what happened to all the "Bwok bwok bwok SEC money bwok bwok"?

The chickens were constantly on about that. I myself was thinking they were going to finally afford a decent ice machines and maybe a plumber.

Did George Rogers snort it all up?

Did the school outright buy the Whitney and Clowney's condo building?

Maybe they're holding tight to give Coach Boom a $20 million bonus if he proves he can distinguish a football from a hacky sack eight times out of ten.

Maybe they spent it all on the three trees they bought for their crappy parking lot. Some dude told them they were magic trees, and they'd grow up to a giant's palace in the clouds where they'd find a conference trophy in his treasure hoard.

but...but...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They are maxed out on athletic debt

Jan 29, 2017, 6:58 PM

though they seem to think they are swimming in SEC money. They could be, but the excess would get directed to the university anyway (which is also in pretty heavy debt).

Must be renovating the old fun house at the fair grounds. Increasing the HP of the floor fan to
blow the skirts off the cheerleaders will definitely generate lots of whistles.
