So, Merrelin aka Maryland, the aspiring U5C of the nawth... cooter-turtle? (appearance-fee fodder for traditional powers) just hired a coach with a 3-31 HC/Interim record... and a history of DWIs, assault AND sexual harassment. Ok, Mike Locksley is a very good OC under Saban, I feel his loss with the death of his son, but why on earth would Maryland hire him? They have been down this road and passed. When he was interim post Edsall, the team was uninspired only squeeking out a Rutgers win. Worse, he has yet to beat any team with more than 2-3 FBS wins.

So Maryland, wanting to clean up its image went with a "glug glug, vroom, vroom, punchy-touchy-touchy-punchy" guy with a tragic story.... and a sub .100 record. A sub .100 record.


I thought they would retain Canada... he was 2 points away from being 7-5 rather than 5-7 and considering the year they had, they could have just packed up and checked out for 12 games.
