1. Familiar with NC/SC recruiting
2. Beat the coots in 2015
3. Would be a very cheap hire (they could prob get him for less than 3 mil a year.)
4. Has been successful everywhere he's been (even with historically unsuccessful teams)

I don't know about Babers, but I have heard he is a west coast guy who may be holding out for one of the better jobs out there.

Also do you think he is trading up by leaving Syracuse for scar?

At Cuse he can win a division is he can upset Clemson in a good year.

In that same year if he gets to the title game he has a better than average chance to win the conference.

At scar if you manage to upset UGA and a recovering Florida team, then you are rewarded with what is typically a top 3 nationally team coming from the west.

Who wants to sign up for that deal?

They think their HC job is one of the top 15 to 20 jobs in college football and...frankly...it just isn't. I'm not entirely sure it even makes the top 40.

On that basis, they're not likely to focus on up-and-coming coaches from smaller programs or even assistant coaches. Even though CussChamp was the 7th or 8th option when Spurrless left (because they couldn't find anyone willing to accept the job), they still think they can go out and get someone like Urban or lure some experienced coach from an established Power 5 program (i.e., Mike Leach or Tom Herman).

Just because Slurrier's ginormous ego convinced him to go to uof5c doesn't mean everyone else is that ignorant.
