Good point. You're going to lose games, have bad days etc... And 8 games is a small sample size but very concerning we've sniffed 5 runs only one game since the opener... And that was only with freebies and sacrifices. Tonight's our only game where we actually scored runs by hitting runs in and not walks and sacs.

a game (which is our average right now) it's going to be a long SEASON.

Can't believe we've finally got some deep pitching and now we can't get runners in from third base.

Very frustrating.

Yeah it could be. We've been extremely fortunate that our pitchers have been so clutch in key situations so far this season. Left a ton of guys lob.

Actually, it was incredible we didn't get beat bad tonight. When you give up 9 freebies (8 walks 1 hb) and 14 hits you expect a team to score more than 5 runs.

That's unfortunately a stat that's made our pitchers look so stellar. And I'm afraid against top quality teams, you tend not to be so fortunate. It'll catch up sooner or later. We could easily be a 4-4 team right now.

Probably not a popular post but it's a little unnerving when you start crunching the numbers.

We were 7-0. Not like we were on the ESPN ticker on the march for 56-0. And here's the scary part, our pitching is not great. Also take into account most freshman flame out about 75% through the season
