I was sorta surprised at what a good job Daniel Craig did, but Sean Connery embodied the role from its inception....all James Bond interpreters will forever be compared to the standard he set.

Back before there was an actor's face to associate with the role, I thought the description of Bond in the novels sounded more like Daniel Craig ... a few inches taller.

In that order. I like Roger Moore more so than George Lazenby but Moore's movies were made when the Bond movies were overly gimmicky and corny.

Now that’s out of the way, Connery with Craig runner up. I did enjoy goldeneye though. That was my first introduction to the Bond series.
