Conference Strength

Is a conference really strong if a single team is able to go undefeated in conference every year winning most games by 20+ points? It seems a conference would be considered weak in this scenario. Whereas a tough conference would be one where a team rarely goes undefeated because the competition is between teams is stronger.

Exactly - Alabama "ROLLs Tide" through the SEC every year with little to no resistance! Every SEC school is scared of Bama! Average margin of victory last year versus SEC foes was 29.1 ppg. or close to 10 more points than you stated OP>
