Computer Rankings are going to kill us in BCS

Right now the computer rankings are putting us much lower than the human polls. I just looked at each of the computer ranking websites and the best ranking I saw was in the twenties. Two of them had us ranked outside of the top 30 and one considered our best win this year over #79 Ball St.

I think the biggest thing we can learn from both the human polls and the computers is play big games early. We have seen for years that it is easier to overcome a big loss early than a loss late in the human polls. The same thing is true of the computer rankings. We all know that the human polls will begin to reflect the BCS standings and if you play a weak schedule early the computers rank you much lower. Sure the computers will even out as teams play the second half of the season but if your ranking drops in the BCS because of a partial schedule you can be assured the humans will drop you also.

Jez, man! If you cant sweep the ACC or even be a 1 loss in the Acc, you will be a 3 loss team in the Sec or the Big 12.
A 3 loss team will not be playing for conference championship much less the national championship.
Just win out here in the Acc and things will shake out in our favor.

5-1. We haven't exactly been dominant against Auburn, BC, and GT. Obviously we really need to see some defensive improvement.

11-1 Clemson team likey to get an at-large BCS invite

Assuming that FSU doesn't lose another conference game, an 11-1 Clemson team with a win over a quality SCAR team (even if 9-2 when they come to town) will most likely get an at-large invite.

Many good teams ahead of us now but there is carnage coming in the coming weeks. The important thing is that we are in the top 14 of the BCS at the end of the year which we will be at 11-1.
