Comparative Numbers for Commits For Top Ten Teams

These numbers are for the 247 top ten rated recruiting classes for 2020 as of 3/27/19. Listed in order of rank, 1 through 10. First number is number of commits, followed by total points and average per commit.
Alabama ------13 ---230.60-------17.74 Miami --------12----200.90-------16.74 LSU-----------10----200.75-------20.07 Clemson--------9----192.50-------21.39 Ohio State-----7----153.44-------21.92 Florida--------7----146.77-------20.96 Miss. State---11----145.78-------13.25 FSU------------7----133.18-------19.03 Michigan-------7----122.95-------17.58 Iowa-----------8----122.56-------15.32
Of course, it's early in the commitment game but Ohio State and Clemson are neck and neck on having the best average per commit. The best guess for the remainder of our commitments will be 5***** and 4**** recruits which should make our average per commit much higher. The higher the recruit is on the 247 board, the higher number assigned to that recruit. We may not have a full 25 class so we may not be No. 1 for team ranking but we could very well be No.1 re average per commit.

It's somewhat rare for us to be at the top of average ranking because we take a decent amount of 3's. But this year is crazy. We have some #### good players with A LOT of ELITE players leaning hard our way.

That looks like Calculus. Is that Calculus? I left that in Pop Stanley's classroom.

I had Mr. Stanley too. Somehow I got an A but can't solve a simple equation now. Must have left it all in the classroom.

I blame those elusive keys on my keyboard. Often times I find the "O" and the "P" exchanging places. I will rush up to my initial post and draw a vertical line to the left of the O.
By golly, it worked. Using a straight edge helped me align that vertical line correctly.

I would like to see the recruiting pundits re-evaluate the players ranking following their college careers and comparing that with their initial evaluation. Naturally, some would retain their ranking but I imagine there would be a large number moving up or down. The fairly large number of players drafted from the lower tiered schools would probably see the greatest jump.

Using 247's class calculator, if we take 22 players for 2020, we can have a rating of just over 325, which would be the highest rated class for any team, ever. And that's just going off of the 22 highest ranked players we are leading for right now. Also, the average ranking per player would be 96.4!

I agree. I think our two championships, having Lawrence two more years and immediate playing time available we should fill our board with top ranked players
