Yes or No.
There are currently around 2100 cases. This thing may slow a little in the summer, but I can 100% guarantee that there will be far more than 2100 active cases in September.
Especially as testing becomes more prominent, the numbers will increase.
If we are cancelling sports due to 2100 cases, there's absolutely no way we will have sporting events in 6 years. I just don't see any possible way.

Look at the bright side. Now, we don't have to worry about global warming ending the world in 12 years.

After finishing at Clemson, I worked in the Pharma Manufacturing business from graduation to retirement. This included Vaccine production. This SARS virus will have a vaccine likely available before the 2021 season and will have likely run through the USA by then anyway. Provided it doesn't mutate into something deadly with no vaccine available, the Clemson/Georgia game is something to look forward to. As deadly as the 1918 epidemic was, it ended. (probably mutated to something more benign.)

2100 cases out of a population of 300 million. Didn't excel in math but I figure it as .000007 percent. Total flu N1H1 strain world wide is approx. 13 million a year, with a death of 250,000 to 300,000 annually. Average death rate of the H1N1 flu in the US is about 35,000 per year. Wash your hands and practice safe hygiene and don't panic.

Glen beck tries to use some facts, not extrapolations that also say the Sun will come up in the west tomorrow. If you are that good at predicting, go to Wall Street.

Considering that we are now afraid of the coronavirus AND the economic effects of the response to it, there is no degree of mockery that we all can consider to be over-the-top.
For hyperbole to be funny, there must be a degree of normalcy to measure it against.
There is no normal right now.
If we all lost our jobs and businesses, but didn't die from coronavirus, and the government kept functioning, some people would consider our pandemic experience to be positive.
