He realizes that Rod Hall can't dribble or shoot and leaves him on the bench. He's a turnover machine.

He's the heart and soul of the team, and he's really effective driving the lane when needed.

Some of you peoole

I have been called a coot on here so many times for expressing my thoughts on one of our athletic programs. That is bull ####. And that's why I do not post in here as much as I would like to. Just bc you do not have the same opinion on some of the things that I do does not make me any less if a fan and it sure as f#ck doesn't make me a coot. So stop trying to bully people w your comments bc I went to Clemson just as long as any one else on here has and if you were standing in front of me you would not call me a Coot to my face. So show some respect to fellow Clemson fans. Isn't this a family...

1) Implying Brad is not a good coach is absurd 2) Rod Hall is a heck of an athlete who gives it his best effort every time he laces up his shoes 3) Our program has certainly has exceeded expectations. So to get on TNet and say Brad ain't good certainty does warrant criticism.
Not sure why the OP felt like Brad should've taken Hall out. He's been very clutch in directing our offense. As far as your notion of "isn't this a family", well if that's the case then why not be supportive. Instead of making some ridiculous post about Brad and Rod. And FYI, telling a forum that we wouldn't call you a coot to your face isn't going to garner a warm reception either.

as frustrating as Rod is at times to watch

it is hard to get an appreciation from the stands for what some of these players bring to the team.
as a basketball coach, you have a different level of respect for certain players. I had a player this year who really couldn't dribble, shoot, or pass very well. However, the player was our hardest worker and when this player sat on the bench, our team's intensity level fell way off.
Rod isn't a great PG. No one would tell you such. But, what he is is a steadying force for the others who understands what BB wants done on the floor. He continues to get better at finishing drives and is our leader on defense. Tough and hard nosed - the epitome of what this program is about.
