You are absolutely right. The media is biased, but college football is a "what have you done for me lately" type of business, and unfortunately, that blow out loss to FSU pretty much obliterated any and all good humor we had earned by beating LSU & UGA. Beating a team like the chickens, who have an unearned reputation of being physically dominant, in the eyes of the media, will catapult us back into their good graces and will silence the retards like Holtz.

Where we stand right now is not very important. If we beat sterling we're BCS-bound with the chance for a top-5 finish to the season. Sounds good to me.

5 and 14. Top 4 and we get an automatic bid, 15 or below and we are not eligible. As long as we are in that middle ground, which is really likely, the only thing that matters is being an attractive selection for the OB, and that means beating SC. We might still make it with a loss to SC, but i would hate to think about that for multiple reasons.

Clemson is now as close as you can get to a lock for the Orange Bowl. I think the Orange Bowl would jump all over a 10-12th ranked Clemson team that is 10-2 (those numbers are if we lose to the coots). If we beat the coots, we'll be 5-6th ranked and 11-1, thats definitely a lock for the OB (as long as FSU stays at #1-2).

If we're able to beat South Carolina, would love to see Michigan State upset Ohio State in the B1G Championship and then get to play Ohio State in the Orange Bowl.

What a difference a week makes. If Stanford drops the game to USC a week earlier and then wins against Stanford we are in 6th easy. Instead Oregon only drops a few spots because Stanford was in the top 5.

USuC is a tough matchup for us because they are physical and they have a physical DL that pushes around our finesse OL. I think our Defense is as prepared to play the coot offense as we've seen in the last five years. The game will come down to our OL blocking their DL. IF we can do that, we should win.
