Clemson men's soccer 2017 preview

The men's soccer team plays their first exhibition game on Saturday @ UAB.

This is Clemson's 2nd most successful program recently, making the NCAA championship game 2 years ago and making the Elite 8 last year. Noonan's teams are exciting to watch, often toward the top in the country in goals scored. I will admit that I do not know a lot about the incoming Freshmen but a lot of this team is new blood and it'll be interesting to see how they do.

The ACC as usual will be brutal as 8 of the teams in the ACC are in the top 20 in the preseason polls.

very home heavy schedule with 10 home games and 5 away. Including 5 home matches in a 14 day stretch in September from North Florida to Charlotte. Having UCLA come to Riggs is a juicy non-conference matchup, that will hopefully pack out the stands.

8 ranked ACC teams and there are only 12 men's teams in the conference. What a brutal conference.

Surprised the Gamecocks are not ranked. I thought that they were generally pretty good?

Clemson men starting out at 5 and women starting at 13. Not too bad at all.

Transfer from Rutgers..........HUGE get for the program. I believe he is from Jamaica and might have some experience in their national program.

Big time goal scorer who will help Campos up top.

Jason Wright. He scored 29 goals in 3 years at Rutgers. He played on the Jamaica U17 team in the U17 world cup

was very successful. Dane Richards. he was like 5'5 and super speedy. He scored a lot for Clemson and went on to play for the Jamaican national team and the New York Red Bulls of the MLS. Even had a brief stint with Burnley of the EPL.
