But we just did not finish. Just way too many busts, and big play busts. Definitely a lot of room for improvement. We’re not a great team yet. Great teams improve, and I think we will.”

My concern with the first half is that Clemson seems to be a 3 and out or 3 and TD sort of team. We led on the scoreboard in the first half, but A&M had long sustained drives and our drives were mostly pretty quick. It showed up in the second half when our defense was completely gassed. Etienne is absolutely amazing, but we just don't seem to have that ability to line up and run for a 1st down like we did when Gallman was here. For Clemson to beat elite teams we are going to have to figure out how to line up and run the ball successfully when the other team knows what's coming.
