Clemson has a habit of helping quarterbacks transition

Sep 26, 2018, 3:52 PM

MANGEY POST AHEAD

I look back to 2009, FSU

https://youtu.be/pfI6UZ8pwP0

Had Deandre McDaniel not destroyed Christian Ponder's shoulder, he never would have had all that freetime as a backup QB to slide into Samantha Steele's DMs and subsequently put a ring on it.

Then there's Shuey in 2013

Had he not destroyed Braxton Miller's shoulder, he likely wouldn't have made the move to WR and subsequently earned millions in the league.

Now we've got KB. He's still got two good shoulders and could have spent the remainder of the season on redshirt working out with the WRs, to return for a super senior season catching balls from TL.

Not sure if he'd have bagged a Samantha Steele, or NFL signing bonus, but it was certainly worth a shot.

I'm sure he could do 40 by the time he's looking at an NFL draft.

was expecting Patrick Sapp

Patrick Sapp (born May 11, 1973) is a former linebacker in the National Football League and the XFL.

Sapp played for the San Diego Chargers and Arizona Cardinals. He played for the San Diego Chargers from 1996–97, and was traded to the Arizona Cardinals along with Eric Metcalf, the Chargers 1st (#3 overall) and 2nd round picks in 1998 and the Chargers 1st round pick in 1999 for the Cardinals 1st round pick in 1998 (#2 overall). The Chargers drafted with that pick Ryan Leaf. Sapp was the starting quarterback for the Clemson Tigers football team, before moving to linebacker.
