Clemson Ring Ceremony

Can't believe how big a deal the ring ceremony is now. When I got my ring in 1984 there was no fanfare, no parade, no big crowd in Littlejohn, no president to present it to me, etc. I got notification it was at the bookstore and walked down to pick it up by myself.

I feel cheated.

I mean, it's cool we all have a similar ring, but let's not invent new "traditions". That is cootish behavior. Next thing you know, we'll all be holding up a "3" with our fingers at the beginning of the 3rd quarter.

I know we all dislike coots, but to hate on a symbol that brings attention to mental illness...trying to help keep people alive????

Don’t you make a living helping people with mental issues? This sounds like a tradition you would try to help get off the ground. I guess I was wrong.
