Clemson/NIT....

Not sure what the feeling is on whether Clemson will make the NIT, but all the conference tournament upsets are shrinking the field. Regular season conference champions get automatic NIT berths (if they don't go to the NCAA). 12 of the 32 slots have already been filled.

As of this morning, we were still in projections....

Those projections included the automatic bids.
One projection had us as a 6 seed.
It will be a close call, and if we get in we will be a low seed playing on the road

I'm guessing we would be the only acc team since the tourney expanded to not make the nit with a winning conference record

If the players want to play in the NIT, I hope they receive on invitation. I'm a Clemson supporter, not just a fan. It's about the young men who put in their time and effort. It is "Not About Me."

I am a Clemson supporter and fan as well. If the players are excited for the NIT and they want to play, then I support them playing. You are correct there. That said, I hope they don't care about the NIT and we don't go. I won't be watching and I love college hoops, but not the NIT. You are correct though, if they are excited and want to play, more power to them.
