in Greenville in the 60s in West Greenville - the building still stands and the fake steer they used to have on each store is still on the top of the building. And he never allowed alcohol to be sold in his stores - that didn't start until after he died and Bi-Lo was sold to another company.

Off the top of my head I know Ware Shoals and Ninety Six still have one. when I worked there in high school people would just come in because they couldn't believe one was still around.

They are not closing this one. Good for the neighborhood I guess since it's a clean Bi-Lo. But it burns my eyes seeing the big Gamecock logo each morning.

It was October 1981. I was a junior that year, probably why I don't remember. 3 frat bros got shot at the Pendleton Bi-lo trying to steal a cow from the roof. Sherrif had a shotgun and hit all 3, no serious injuries, except to their shorts.

That Bi-lo use to be a mad house all the time. I guess Publix took a lot of business away? Hard to believe it doesn’t generate enough sales to not be one of the ones cut.

Walmart's Neighborhood Market took a lot of BI-LO business. Students flock to Walmart since it's near several large apartment complexes.
