I know many are obsessed with having the #1 recruiting class in the Nation & we are certainly looking good for it. Obviously Burch and/or Flowe would cement that for the Tigers. However, does signing the soccer/football kicker without any stars at all put a big dent in the overall average? I would think so, but it is a position of great need and many of us remember the days of Obed Ariri & Donald Igwebuike being 'borrowed' from the soccer team to be a super weapon in the late '70s & early '80s. I still think Potter & Swanson will develop into their potential, but competition can't hurt.

It puts a dent in the average but it doesn't decrease the class ranking. Any additional signee increases the total "points" and therefore the overall ranking.

The only time it would be detrimental is if we signed that kicker INSTEAD OF a higher rated prospect. In that case, the class ratings would improve but not by as much.

Flowe we would elevate our recruiting game too much and it would prevent us from beating Ohio State on December 28th. So they did the smart thing and signed a 0 star kicker instead. Hth

I suppose the number 1 class in the nation would be great but, with all the talent we just signed (along with PROVEN coaching)we won't lose very many games for at least the next 4 or 5 seasons!
