Charleston CU Alums I need your help!

Oct 15, 2013, 2:23 PM

I'm getting married Friday in Mt. Pleasant (I know, we anticipated FSU being earlier in the season, as usual, but the acc schedule comes out so late and of course it's the Saturday after my Friday wedding!)

But we have a crowd that wants to find somewhere to watch the game in Charleston.

Would like to find a great place/bar etc to watch the game, we have lots of different fans at the wedding so multiple tv's is a plus.

Where is the best place to watch in chas?

King street bar and grill on the IOP connector in Mt Pleasant

If you go there, arrive early if you want a place to sit

It's small and will be packed. I've always had a good time at Kickin Chicken on Johnny Dodds. Also O'Brions Pub is nice, too. It's up Hwy 41 next to Harris Teeter (Near Rivertown and Dunes West). Again, it's small so arrive early enough to grab a table.

And you got married during football season...... why?

Wild Wing on Coleman

I live in MP and always suggest Wild Wing, specifically the patio. Kicken Chicken is okay, but keep in mind that's a gamecock bar (owned by 3 Gamecock alum) and tends to be full of those types... I'd be at WW myself, out on the patio - but I'm heading up for this one. No chance I miss this game!

Definitely want to avoid

SCAR fans. My fiancé is a gator and will be bringing many to the wedding. Also will have some other fans as well. We are getting married in mt pleasant but would like to go downtown. Thanks for the suggestions but we'd like something downtown since we'll eat dinner and the crowd will like to go out after the game.

Someone suggested the bar across from the Customs House, any intel on that or other viable options downtown?

Hmm... Downtown - I live in MP and don't frequent

Downtown much. Fleet Landing is across from the Custom House I think - if that's what y'all are referring to, that's not really a bar - more of a slightly upscale restaurant. (there very well could be a bar over there and I probably wouldn't know.). If you're downtown, there's a Wild Wing on Market St and I'm sure they'll have it. There's Macs on E Bay and that's a sports bar, but more of an Ohio joint - I'm sure they'll have it though. Sorry, I stay on the other side of the river, so rarely venture to watering holes downtown. Beerworks, or maybe a few of some of the new spots on upper King... That's another decent spot. I'm sure there's probably someone with some other places too.

Sorry, Macs is a Chicago joint, no Ohio...

Got Ohio on my mind for some reason.

Midtown Bar and Grill on King Street always has a large Clemson contingent.
