Charles Warren..Clemson Golf NCAA Champion after Tiger..

Apr 8, 2016, 9:25 PM

And like Tiger, he almost was a two-time back to back NCAA golf champion except for a play-off loss.

Asking..how is he doing on the links these days?

No offense and disrespect but probably selling used cars in West Texas. It's super hard to make a successful run for consecutive years as a professional athlete. Hopefully he invested wisely. I think he did win a tournament or two in his professional career.

He's a huge Clemson supporter and made about 8 million

in about 12 years playing golf.

He's doing just fine.

If Charles, Ben Martin, and Bill Haas teed it up right now at Chanticleer, I would be inclined to take Charles.

Maybe he owns a few used car dealerships but he is not out there selling them. Last time I saw him he was in a brand new S class but that was a while back. Would not be surprised if he came from $, he could probably make more staying home and investing than playing the Web.com. Playing on tour for that long opens up a lot of doors.

A little further back, remember the big fella Chris Patton

Apr 8, 2016, 10:29 PM

from Fountain Inn, SC that won the US Amateur in 1989
and went to Clemson? Wonder what he's been up to?
They still have his name on the wall at City Park in
F.I. along with a former coot and MLB pitcher whose
name i can't remember.

I think Patton at one time was associated with Carolina Springs GC in Fountain Inn maybe as an instructor. Also seem to recall he played quite a bit there before his Clemson days. A few years ago, he was assisting Robbie Biershenk in his effort to become a pro.

Chris is my cousin...last I heard he was doing just fine. He could hit a golf ball a country mile in his prime.

And I know...this is my first post, so let the shenanigans begin. :) I usually don't say much and love reading the info on here, but since Chris is family... But make no mistake, I am no Coot!

He no longer plays professionally

As of last year he was working for a company in Greenville.
