I'll bet $$$ that Chad wishes he was still here. He would probably get a much better gig than SMU with all the vacancies.

Think he wanted to go back to Texas. He knows all the high school coaches there and loads of HS talent.

Also -- the U of Texas position will likely open up in 2-3 years. If he can show significant improvement at SMU in that time, it could be his.

All things considered,.Chad needed to cut his teeth with a smaller program. No place to go but up. They've had a rough start but he is planting the seeds for success. He may have preferred SMU to Houston.

Aside from his win count I bet he is pretty happy with his season/decision.
