The coots are probably better off without him.
I am no fan of coot football, but I wouldn't wish Spurrier on my worst team.
On second thoughts my worst team can have him!

Over time he's been more open in interviews, taking about the disruptive players, the horrible culture, and crummy administration. I've always thought he was kind of a petty jerk anyway, but I do think he was a fairly good coach. It seems it became too much for even him to take, so he bailed midyear. Hard to read that any other way.

He was going to discipline the RB complaining about his staff and play calling on social media. Administration said no. So he told them to send his last check to his Florida address.

Pure speculation on my part they paid him the rest of year salary to say he retired rather than explain to chicken nation they wouldn’t let him sit a mouthy RB in the corner.

*Rumor - can not prove and will not try. If it didn’t happen this way it is as good reason as any other floating in cyberspace.
