I can. Neither of them were NFL ready. I hated that went early. But now they are paying the price. Good combine numbers are not nearly as important as game film.

They had good combine numbers?

I thought both were just average at the combine, but you probably know more about it than I do.

Prospect’s draft rankings are accounted for by more than combine numbers lol. Deon was listed as the 13th best receiver available as of 4/26.

I understand that more than combine numbers go into a draft pick, as I'm sure everyone else here does. I was asking about the combine because the post I was responding to said "there is more to it than good combine numbers." I was asking about their combine performances because I wasn't aware that they both did well there. I had not heard that they did great or poorly there.

I agree that they were not ready - especially Ray-Ray. Yep, they will pay the price. Sometimes the love of money gets in the way of reality.

I think it was a little of both. Love for money and knowing the reality. They aren't going to improve their stock next year. Might as well play for some money and earn yourself a nice payday if you perform.

Antonio Callaway? He was listed as the 35th best receiver in this draft, Deon Cain was rated as being the 13th best. Ray-Ray was ranked 45th so you’re at least half right.

He would have been a first round lock if he didn’t have off the field issues. He didn’t even play last year, which is why he’s so low on that absolutely pointless list some fat guy made on his computer.

If you weren’t a clemson fan, you would have no clue who either of these receivers are. Ray ray isn’t getting drafted at all.

I have plenty of friends up north that aren’t Clemson fans yet know who both of them are. Why? Every one of our games is televised and they’ve appeared in two national championship games and several bowl games in addition to that. The Clemson brand is very recognizable. Nike didn’t sign Deon Cain because of his haircut. He’s marketable. I’d wager any amount that more laymen people knew Deon Cain before this draft than the likes DJ Moore or Courtland Sutton. Can’t remember a single memorable moment from a Maryland or Southern Methodist game in 2017, can you?

Pretty sure his off the field stuff is what is pushing him back. Ray Ray just doesn't have the film stats or attributes to be drafted.

Well a Florida WR got drafted earlier that didn’t play at all in 2017 for stealing Credit Cards.
