Kevin Blackistone on “Around the horn” actually alluded that the reason Bryant was benched was because he was in a black fraternity and participated in a sit in. He said this is why he did not get a ring. Claimed he spoke to a former player who confirmed. Wow. The host pressed him on this and he just sorta mumbled it away. Never have heard an inkling about this. He should be vilified for such an outlandish and unfounded statement. I miss the days of journalism when reporters did not give their opinions unless it was op ed. That they actually sought experts rather than assuming they know because they are reporters.

Kevin, watch the 2018 Sugar Bowl then watch the 2019 National Championship Game and tell me which qb is better.
If KB was white and Trevor was black and belonged to a black frat, the switch would still occur. It’s about what’s BEST for the team.
Quit making excuses for crappy on-field performance. TL is better and that’s why he won the starting qb spot.

KB couldn't take the job from DW4 either, and color of the skin was the same!!! They couldn't twist and turn that, so there was no mention of it!!!

Anyone who is aware of Lawrence's play on the field after he took over as the starting QB should be expected to understand Dabo's decision without question. If what Blackistone alluded to is indeed a fact, one would expect dissention on the team and, to my knowledge, there never appeared any evidence that such was the case.
