awareness. Majority of the money goes to "education" (awareness) and stuff like that. Everybody is aware of cancer now... especially breast cancer. So you/we need to give to actual research and prevention charites/organizations.

The NFL thing is a joke as only like 10% of the proceeds goes to the Komen foundation.

breasteses! My mom had breast cancer and my dad died from lung cancer. So it's got my support.

And lungers are pervs so #tatas ;)

which for things like breast and colon cancer can save lives through screenings is alright with me.

That said, breast cancer is the popular kid when it comes to cancer funding while childhood cancers and blood disorders get largely ignored when it comes to funding. .

With all of the money being raised, it's difficult for many to accept that effective treatment hasn't really changed much in 20 years. Maybe instead of research and awareness the money could be better used to fund treatments or at least ease the burdens of cancer victims and their families.
