Oh the memories. I spent many a night, back in the day, sleeping and "Guarding" our float on Bowman Field. An unattended float was inviting a prank from a competing group. Of course back then you could keep a keg at your display. MUCH easier to get help when you were giving away free beer. I hope this generation of Tigers has as much fun as we did. Go Tigers!

One year we went as far as Kannapolis to find orange crepe paper to cut into small squares...

on a Thursday night/Friday morning, no less.

...if I had to do it all over again, I might've dedicated my senior engineering project to devising a mechanical way to "print" (i.e. stab or insert) paper bunches into a roll of chicken wire which could be hung afterwards. I know the hard work is about commradore and dedication, but the way it's done always struck me as tremendously inefficient.

But that's just me.
